mtnme, I liked the same dances. The Argentine tango is quickly becoming one of my favorites. And Melissa did an amazing job, even with the bruised ribs. Nice job Tony. I liked Shawn and Mark's dance as well. Poor Derek trying to tone down Lil Kim's natraul 'sexiness' He toned it down a little too well. I've been watching, just haven't posted my thoughts on the episodes. Gilles, wow, that boy has some moves!

OK - this is totally random, but I went to the DWTS taping yesterday (Tuesday results show) and Kimo and Jan were there. The 60s group number in person was really groovy. Gilles=hot. Derek=adorable. Then we went and watched Derek & Mark Ballas' band play live outside at the Grove (shopping center-thing) after that. Evidently they do that every Tuesday night after the show. Very talented guys, they are!

I would have loved to have seen Celtic woman in person, although I didn't think last nights song was their best offering. (The violinist usually dances around the stage like some effervescent pixie once she gets going! LOL ...and the voices of the main vocalists are stunningly beautiful) But it sounds like you had a GREAT time! Good for You!

And Kimo & Jan had primo seats! They were right in the front row at the "south" end of the dance floor (orchestra and "stage" on the opposite side). I was sitting behind Bruno, Len and Carrie Ann up in the back rows in the shadows. The stage is so small in person; they must use some kind of wide-angle lens to make it look bigger on screen. It's amazing during the groovy group '60s dance that they didn't just all crash into each other. But, the one thing that was missing: Apolo.

I was glad to see good dancing by all last night. I really loved that two RM songs were used. Three RM songs have been used this season, and I love hearing his music on things others than my cd player & ipod.
