Just pulled the trigger on the airfare...I'm a done deal.
(...and to answer the question - premium seating is always better...)

Would love to pull the trigger myself $149 roundtrip airfare. Geez. Can't believe I'm missing out on this. Sure would be nice if Nationals wasn't so close to Christmas. Family graduation this year AND Christmas all rolled into one weekend. Guess which one? Waaaaaa

OK, here's some information that Susie got me onto.
The room rate at the Doubletree under the ST group rate is $89 per night. However, if you go to the Doubletree booking site, you will find an internet pre-paid rate of $68 per night.
I called the Reservation center and asked if I could get the cheaper rate with the reservation that I already had. They said "yes" as long as I was willing to charge the amount now. I did and got the lower rate.
Just be aware that if you do this, the charge is non-refundable. If you have to cancel your trip, you'll still be charged.
But if you're really sure you're going, you can save a few bucks.

St. Louis hardly ever gets snow. Even with the amount the midwest got blasted with last year St. Louis barely sees any of it maybe an inch if that. If it does get snow it does not last long as it usually stays above freezing (usually in the low 40's). So I guess it depends were you are flying out of because living in the midwest all my life (4 hours North of St. Louis and my sister living in STL for 4 years) pretty much every year St. Louis usually stays clear of snow. If there are any newbies to St. Louis there is a lot of sight seeing for you to do but just a reminder the meet complex is actually about a 30-40 minutes away from the downtown. But of course there are many things going on outside the complex also. It's good to plan what you would like see and directions. Makes life much easier trying to find in a big city like St. Louis. Wow, time flies! One more month before some great meetings and awesome speed skating races!

Mari --- I came here to post about your 'dead' computer... but ya beat me to it! LOL Lori --- A group meet-up would be great! Any men gonna be there this time? Poor Sam, he usually ends up with 'a harem'! Isn't that right, Gasp He just went with me to a Hollywood show... mostly women!

He's been called worse things... Another fan group gave him an equally humorous title... but that's a different story! LOLOL

When I saw that they had run out of doubles and only had king size left, I went to their regular booking site and noticed that rate and some other specials. I couldn't go with the $68 room cause we're driving 5 hours from northern Indiana. If the weather gets bad, and there's a very good chance of that with lake effect snow, then we'll have to cancel. Otherwise, that's a really good deal. I ended up getting a deal for a room with breakfast for $85. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and let me go...please.

So, is Sam becoming FAMOUS or INFAMOUS? Gasp --- good question! Sam did get to talk to Kristi Yamaguchi last Saturday night, met her parents... and a photo with Kristi. In all the excitement, I neglected to talk to Kristi about Apolo!
