Thanks for the compliment, Aofreak! I'm brand-new to DSLR photography. An AP photographer kindly helped me with my initial camera settings, and Lily later tweaked them. With time, I found settings that I was comfortable with, and much to my surprise I shot "manual" most of the weekend. I might consider renting a lens next time, but on the whole I'm pretty happy with the results from this one.

ETA: I've got lots more photos -- I'll get them up when I can.

You're right, there are WAAAAYYYYY too many to post, but here are some highlights... and I like how Jerry Search is getting a little more 'artsy' and creative with his photos - along with his perfect racing shots.



The men's team- does this say it all or what? We were told this is a really tight knit team, they all really like each other, and it shows.






Who's the skater? Well ya wouldn't know unless you were aware that the bright pink skates belong to Allison Baver!




Ok, enough guessing, here's the whole skater, along with Maria Garcia and Ally Dudek.





An incredible action shot, featuring 'Flying Canooks'





OK, my initial thought when I saw this photo was that Jerry must have accidentally taken a shot when the camera was just dangling aimlessly.... but look closer at the reflection in the ice. Pretty cool.....





A nice candid of Jeff not often done by Jerry, but given how nice this photo is, Jerry should definately do more!





Honest Sk8on, I wasn't copying you! While I was waiting for these photos to load on photobucket with the exact same thought in mind, I zipped over to AJ and noticed you were thinking the exact same thing! All I can say in my defense is that OBVIOUSLY great minds think alike....

(We were there, we saw this! and as all of you know, they're just moving too flippin' fast to really appreciate this! He's just sliding himself in on that inside pass, a hair's breath from the block!)

Hello, Jenza! I'm doing great! Just thinking about you puts a smile on my face.

Jerry Search is still the master, isn't he? I love the "arty" pics. The shot of the skaters' reflection in the ice is nothing short of amazing.

Holy Cow, Mtnme...the JR shot above is amazing. How close is close? I love the shots of just Apolo's skates. It's the visual side of "listening" to a finely tuned engine. In this case, instead of hmmm, it's slice, slice, baby.

Susie, I love all the amateur skater-razzis pics where it appears Apolo is looking straight at you! Makes me wonder if he's thinking, "Man, how many media passes did they give out this time?" LOL
