I know...I try...but it is hard. He was very abusive for 13 years...imagine the worst most degrading hurtful things a father could tell his daughter...now imagine being told that everyday for 13 years. Everytime he does something like this it all comes back.  |

i know what ur saying.. my mom was a battered wife by my dad before i was born for like 10 years,and when she tells me about those days it makes me wanna hate my dad real bad.but i know i cant because my mon forgave him and i have to agree with her.Luckily he changed before i was born.but i guess we all deal with our anger and problems in different ways,you know..you seem like a strong person |

thanks...I like to think that I am strong, but sometimes it really is just hard...and I also have to see him sometimes because of my brothers and he is all nice and everything when his new wife is around but when she isn't he is the biggest a$shole ever....ahhh I hate him!

that really sucks about your dad...i'm glad you're able to share this with us. you really shouldn't be around a person that degrades you constantly...no matter how strong you are (and i know you are to be able to take it for 13 yrs) you just shouldn't.
i'm going to pm you the rest... 
aofreak...your mom is one of the luckier ones to be able to have an abusive partner change...usually that is not the case and things only get terribly worse.

I didn't know my birth father well, let's just say he messed me up for life. I was abused by him. I won't go into details, he's dead, but it still effects me. I was abused by my birth mom as well, I'm surprised I'm still here...it's crazy. I remember you saying something about him before, he needs to stop. Easier said than done in most cases. It's easy to be pulled down, but try to raise up and be better than him. I hope talking makes it easier for you.

thanks. yeah, crazy. all by the time i was like 4 too.
jacy, there's nothing worse than somebody making you feel like you owe them or should be more greatful for the things that you have. i think we all do, but times get rough, you may complain, it's hard not too. don't let anyone get you down. that's what some people want.

4 years old, Tab. Nobody at that age should be going through that. I've been sexually absused only above my waist tho. I was freaking out and I told one of the counseler and I was grateful for that. My best friend had to talk me into doing it. I didn't want to at first. And I've been verbally abused on the phone in 7th grade. One of my worst days ever. I hated my teenage years. We all been through things and talking about always helps me. |
