I'm glad those players are in the All-Star! And that happened with AI too, minus the injury. They took em out of the game for over a month and then traded him. I hope Colby doesn't get traded.

He gets injured at the worst time...I was looking foward to seeing him play in the futures game next week. (all star game is on tuesday...and their game is before that if I'm thinking correctly) He's been out a week. So he may miss that, and it could hurt his chances at being look at for the olympic games. And the trade talks are getting stronger. Sigh. Woo, both RedBirds and Cardinals won last night. Mark Mulder gets the start tonight. All the best for him. I want to see him do well, and not mess up too badly. I think he knows time is running out for him. Awe, there was a nice article on stltoday.com about Jamal Mayers. Andy Murray, Blues coach called him after being traded. He's going to his home town. Andy said something like 'you're going home' (he was born near Toronto) and Jamal said 'St. Louis has become my home' He's going to be back in the off seasons. His wife I'm pretty sure is from the area too. (st. louis) Sorry for the long post.

More bad news. I think it may be over for Mark Mulder. He went for a pick off move, threw funny (he had a new delivery anyway) and it just looked bad. And after two shoulder surgeries, he may be better off retiring, or take a long look at himself. At least take a break from baseball, and let the team have a roster spot open. I was a fan. Too bad... Colby is out for the future all star game...wonder who will take his spot. I'll still watch, there's going to be three others there. Just not the same. Cards lost, Memphis losing, Colby still out with whatever they're calling it...groin/hip. He's still in trade rumors...um, he's injured! I don't get it...I'll shut up now!

I'm sorry, tab. I know how it feels. And I'm sorry about Mark. I hope he can fix his shoulder, if it's not too bad. Sorry you're teams are losing..

mulder is on the dl, flown back to st. louis for an mri. it sounds bad. colby flying in from new orleans for the same thing, his hip/groin still giving him issues. tried to play last night, trotted in the outfield, didn't like how it felt. and jaime garcia has been called up. cards are playing...and are trailing 2-0...come on offense. get better colby, they may need you soon. oh yeah, jesse todd is going for the olympics. he's in double a. great to hear.

I hope Colby can play! (I wish the fingers cross icon could work) And hope his hip/groin gets better! Hope Cards win too! Good for Jesse. It's great for players to be in the Olympics!

nice new siggie jen. meh, colby goes on the 7 day dl (disabled list) so he'll be sitting for at least another week. crap. cards lose 4-1. their needs offense to wake up. albert is swinging at bad pitches, which is unlike him. colby being injured may save him from trade talks, but i could be wrong there.

Why did they put 'rest' like that? Is he ok? Thanks a lot, Tab! I love it! I just saw it on myspace awhile ago! Wonderful! You seriously need a karma.

Awe, thanks. I hope u can see your nickname in the corner, like I said, I got bored. Colby seems the type that doesn't want to sit around and do nothing. He seems high energy at times. Hence the 'rest' part. He'll be fine.

RASMUS EVALUATED
Cardinals outfield prospect Colby Rasmus met with a team doctor in St. Louis about continuing soreness in his groin, and the club ruled out a sports hernia Friday. Rasmus, considered the club’s top prospect, has not played since July 1. The center fielder was diagnosed with a groin strain and prescribed rest. A team official said he will begin baseball activities Thursday, after the Triple-A All-Star break.
from stltoday.com no treatments since it's in his groin area, so rest it is. again i say 'ouch!' just rest up and he'll be back to normal.

at least it's not a sports hernia. One of the Nuggets players had to remove it. Glad he's slowly coming back. Rest up, Colby!

Cardinals imploded on themselves and lost 12-11 in 10 innings. That was hard to watch. They play tomorrow, then the all star game. Yay. I'm so excited about next years baseball all star game. It's going to be in St. Louis, I'd love to go to the home run derby or future game. I bet it'd be a little high, but worth it.
