Ok.......its been oodles of years ago since I last opened a new thread. However, I though it was time again to re enter the thought of us exposing those photos of Apolo in his, and our, glory. I hope that through this link we can be able to open up even more about what is that Apolo means to each and every one of us in our lives. I believe Apolo is more than just an object of attraction. I think he represents not only that which we cant have but also that dream we wish to accomplish and an idea of how we all believe our lives can be like. Apolo inspires me into thinking that I can fly. I see a photo of Apolo skating and I have the urge to run until there is no more air left in my lungs. Apolo gives me a super hero complex that I am more than willing to play. Apolo represents more than a crush or a sexual inclination, he is what I wish I could be. Apolo is my dream and my fantasies all placed into one ideal. So without no further due, here are some of the ones I love.          Course....i will be posting more of the ones I love, for there are too many of those to post in one shot!!! Cheers girls....remember to breath! |

Those are beautiful Elle, as are your sentiments. Thank you for posting them! I can see from the first few that you share my fondness for the pics of 2004. Not to say he isn't lovely now but that was a particularly photogenic year for him.
In fact, my all time favorite is from the same time. Due to technical limitations, I can't bring it here myself, but if anyone would care to grab it for me, I'll tell you exactly where to find it. The masterpiece was generously submitted to Ohnozone by SusanG. It can be found in their August 8 2004 thru August 14, 2004 archives at the very top of the page. Chin resting in hand and remarkable eyes. Such a beautiful shot! Thanks for the thread Elle!

YAY!!! That's the one! Thank you Elle! That was taken in Sweden. Later I got a bit of backstory on that particular competition. It wasn't exactly a party which could account for why he looked a tad blue. Even so, there's such an hypnotic sweetness to his eyes. I truly love that picture.  |

What you said was so from the heart and so true. :-XApolo is really SO much more than a guy I think is hot, he's an inspiration and an amazingly wonderful person. In keeping with posting pics we love, the following are a couple of mine. For whatever reason, the first two for me are somehow just more 'real'. Sans any hollywood makeup artists hand or perfect lighting, he's a little scruffy, and maybe even a little tired - but real.   Whoever posted this pic had dubbed it 'sweet look' - and so it is.  Elle, it's so good to see you around again, my dear. You said "Apolo inspires you into thinking you can fly." He does for me too in a much more literal sense. I always loved skating, skiing, and dancing- for exactly that reason- the feeling of flying. Apolo inspires me to take the time to revel in the physicality of movement. To lace up a pair of skates again and fly around a rink, or to scream down a snowy mountain with the sun in my face. To dance for the sheer joy of it. He reminds me to step away from my desk job for a moment, hunched over a computer for most of the day by necessity. Apolo reminds me that my physical well being is just as important as my work responsibilities. He reminds me that my career is not all that I am. |
