When I wake up in the morning, my habit is to go to the bathroom, go downstairs and let the dog out while I'm brewing a cup of tea, and then back into bed with the laptop to peruse a few favorite websites before getting ready for the day. This is pretty much how I feel:  After the caffeine has kicked in a bit, off to get dressed after doing a few gentle stretches.  And then off to work. With the price of gas, I'm glad I work only 8 miles from home.  I arrive at work  and ready for another day of software development  This summer I have created a goal for myself that after work, I don't settle down in the house until dark. My plan is to keep myself active doing something to burn some calories and get my HR up. I have some decisions to make: Shall I take a spin on my new Specialized Vita Sport?  Head out for a jog around my favorite lake?  or go for an easy hike....  But most certainly, I reserve this for the dark winter months when you can't be outside.  At the end of my day, a little R&R in front of the TV  before going to bed, waking up, and doing it all over again....  |
