He does look a little tired. And his smile is not his usual natural one. I will bet she latched on to him and wouldn't let him go even though he probably wasn't that thrilled about being with her. I wonder if he even knows about her reputation. Hope someone warned him. Poor Apolo. She chews her fingernails.

Haha, maybe he does know about her reputation. He's the face of Short Track but remember that he's also a 25 yr old single male with a pulse. If he wants to have some 'fun' after all of that training and having a great season there's no harm in that.

Honestly, I don't think he likes her type. Remember he once said he doesn't like the "your place or mine" kind of meeting. Also, a woman who sleeps around a lot is not safe; she could be contagious. Not good.

I agree...first time I've seen Apolo look anything other than clear-eyed. oh, no......... It will be interesting to see how he spends his off-season I agree, MTS. From all of his interviews, he makes it sound like he never drinks. I'm not completely convinced that he is drunk in that pic, but I agree with you- I'm worried about his off season. I'm probably making a way bigger deal out of this than I should because it's only one pic, but still. I want him to defend his World title next year and I don't want the off season to get him off track and into the Hollywood lifestyle. That's not something I would worry about. If Apolo was going to succumb to the Hollywood lifestyle, he would have done so a long time ago (I seem to remember from an interview that Spring of '02, just after the SLC Olympics, was a little worrisome for his father, but Apolo got it together after enjoying himself for a bit. And don't forget, he was a lot younger then.) He has been known to drink moderately on occasion, but he doesn't make a habit of it, and certainly not while training. I think it's a good thing that he's having some fun now, because the push to Vancouver will be hard and tough, and he might as well enjoy himself while he can.

I agree Susie, I have no worries about Apolo being wooed away to a seemy lifestyle of Hollywood partying, he has a good head an his shoulders and he knows how to use it. Now, more than ever, with the events of the last few weeks playing out as they did, and going into the final 2 year push to the Olympics, Apolo knows better than anyone what he has accomplished and what more there is that he has the opportunity to do. We're not just talking about him being a great speedskater, a wonderful dancer, hot model, or just an all around great guy. He's now veering into 'legacy' territory. Apolo has the opportunity to be one of THE most decorated skaters of his time, and if the team coming after him is any indication, he can leave after Vancouver not only completely satisfied in all that he has accomplished personally, but also knowing that he leaves behind a group of skaters that have the potential of picking up the torch and carrying on where he left off. In addition, he has done more than anyone to raise awareness in this country of this obscure, little sport he loves so much. I can think of no greater legacy or testament to the man, once he hangs up the skates and moves onto the next challenge in his life. We may not fully appreciate it now, but 20 years from now, when anyone asks "Who is the Greatest American Short Track Speedskater this country has ever produced?, I feel certain there will only be one answer "Apolo Anton Ohno". Twenty years from now, we can all say, "We knew him when", for we are indeed witnessing history in the making. And I doubt anyone, with possibly the exception of Yuki, is more aware of that than Apolo. No way he's going to walk away now, - if anything, I'll bet he pushes himself even harder than ever. So Apolo, I hope you enjoy yourself as you may whenever you can, as the next 2 years will no doubt be the toughest of your career. But I also believe they will be the most rewarding and worthwhile as well, and we as fans, are most grateful that we were here to see it all, be a part of it, and cheer you on!

Just getting back into the swing of things, glad I did here first!! Mtnme: DANG girl can you write from the heart!!! Thanks, I agree completely with everything you said...definitely a legacy in the making! I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to see Apolo in his element in SLC for myself and share it with you all that were there!!! Truly an all around good guy---not just for what he does, but moreso who he is. Strength of character is something he's been instilled with. Good for you, Apolo, for keeping that head on straight and being a good example!!!

Doonick - too funny! (and tragic at the same time), and Mtnme, that was a GREAT post. I agree - our boy has an incredibly sensible head on those beautiful shoulders, so I seriously doubt that he was getting sh**-faced - and the fact that he was 'with' Trashelle Trishelle doesn't mean she got to take him home as a door prize... I could be wrong, of course - in which case, an intervention may be in order.

I don't know. Apolo doesn't strike me as the type to "get his freak on" with someone he just met at a party. Then again, he has to get it from somewhere when he needs it. (OMG, I cannot believe I just wrote that . Please don't hate me .)

Well tdav, he is human right, haha. When he's asked in interviews about relationships he always says he's dating. Today's dating is not the hand holding/ice cream soda sharing of the 50's so......

Wildfire and Lori, thanks for the kudos, (...and Lori, that 'door prize' crack was hilarious!) But mostly- Wildfire, your siggie is GREAT! I commend you on your choice of style - and Lindsey you have done it again - yet another winner!

I'm glad Apolo was out having fun. I'm not worried about him at all. Trishelle is not his type , I'm sure it was just one photo. I love him so much and I can't wait for him to speak at the University Of Arkansas on April 1st. nuff said
