As enchanted as I am with the last 3 (the newest ones), I have to give my vote to #9. The joy on his face is contagious, and the sweet child is clueless as to what the future has in store for him.  This was before Rolling Stone, before People's 50 Most Beautiful, before Cosmopolitan, GQ, the Gap(Red) ads, Hollywood Squares, DWTS and 'Hottest Bachelor' polls. It's before Leno, Conan, Ellen, Rosie, Regis, GMA, Jimmy Kimmel and The View, and before he knew movie stars and Indy car drivers. It's before anybody cared who he was dating, what kind of car he drove, or what kind of watch or shoes he wore. Few knew the name of his cat, his dad, or his best friend. From that moment on, his life would never be the same. All he knows right then is that he won a gold medal, and the years of pain, personal sacrifice and hard work weren't for nothing, and he's freakin' happy about it! ...and now he can eat pizza again for a little while... EDITED to re-post pic that 'disappeared'. I just HATE that red 'X'! |

Lori, That was truly very sweet and thoughtful. He WAS just a kid in that pic, and we as fans had no idea where all of that sudden fame would take him as a person. It's so nice that all those wonderful things that ensued because of that moment in time, still left him a very humble and pleasant human being. Number1fan-give a girl a break!!! There are just toooo many choices! I'm SOOOO confused!!! I don't seem to be able to wax poetic like Lori, so I have to go with #20. Those eyes-that smile-I'm completely smitten....  |

Gee Fan, do you think you could make the selections just a little bit tougher? I don't think having 20 jaw dropping, heart racing pictures is nearly enough to draw a conclusion and narrow down to one.
I like #3 and #8 and I'll choose #8 because Apolo in sunglasses is HOT!

i know i know...too much eye-candy all at once fries the brain a bit...well i never get tired of #13  ...but i can't decide between 2, 3, 17 & 19.........i'll go with 19.

What a great selection of pics...my choice is pic #20 (a great close-up that is quickly becoming one of my favorites), with pic #3 coming in a close second for me!

I thought for sure you'd go for 13....for the beautiful bandana, of course.  I'm still sticking with #8. Look at those lips people!  But then look at his hair in #3.
