Oooh - I like that makeup picture. What's he up to, with the laurel leaves (or whatever) around his neck ? He looks lovely in that picture - like a beautiful young man in a Renaissance portrait or something. I'm sure Michelangelo would have loved sculpting him. Or whatever.  |

Elsa, that was prep for the Victor Awards last year. They were held in Hawaii, and that is a maile lei around his neck, one of the oldest and most traditional leis. You're right, maile IS similar to laurel...

I was wondering where this pic was from. I like it a lot. Wasn't that the photo from People's 50 Most Beautiful? All that was before I joined this 'beautiful' madness, so I may be wrong... You're right - it is from People's 50 Most Beautiful magazine edition, but Apolo said in his CNN interview about being in the magazine that the photo was originally done for Rolling Stone.  Did someone say pizza?  Please post of pic of Apolo with Shani while he's arm wrestling. |
