Well, Apolo has been missing in action for awhile now. I have looked all over for him but now I'm expected to return to work.
I figured it was time to call in the big guns so I turned the matter over to a reliable group that has assured me of results. They have already begun looking and filed this report:
Hi, we're "The Good Sisters of the Perpetual Search - Results Guaranteed".
Don't be put off by our attire. Those are merely stun guns. We have been informed that our prey, er...missing person, possesses a powerful force field that renders his hunters...trackers...FOLLOWERS--yes, that's the word!...powerless when they approach too closely. We simply want to be prepared.
Our journey began through the woods outside our convent gates. We refused to be distracted by the various creatures rustling through the underbrush.
Our youngest member became tired and rested awhile under the shade of some nice shrubbery. She caught up to us quickly though after receiving directions from a kindly gentleman resting next to her.
We received numerous reports of sightings along the way, including one from a nice farmer fetching his morning paper.
Apparently, the subject was spied taking part in a marathon in a nearby town, so we quickly put on our running shoes and joined the race which was still underway.
We didn't have any luck spotting our missing person, but several of us were elated to post personal best marathon times!
We were all a bit exhausted from the race so we took a small break at the shore before boarding our chartered boat.
Rested and ready to return to our chore, we quickly sailed out into the bay where, we had been informed, our subject liked to indulge in water sports.
Again, we had no luck, although we did enjoy the playful dolphins that swam around our boat.
Upon returning to shore, we took another small break to catch the convent supper before returning home.
We then set off on our return journey, made much more enjoyable by the Swiss hiker who accompanied us and entertained us with hours of yodeling.
Our first attempt was unsuccessful, but we assure you that we will continue searching until a satisfactory conclusion has been reached.
Tomorrow, we will try further inland.
