C'mon christy!!!! that is soooooooooooooooooo cute!!!! LOL - OK, it's cute...but barefoot would be better...and you know that too! But, I've never liked socks with sandals...not even on Apolo. At least he's not wearing the plaid Bermuda shorts with the socks and sandles. I remember that was such an attractive tourist look in Malibu when I was growing up- sure to scream "I'm not from around these parts..."

The socks with sandals was, unfortunately, the first thing I noticed too. *Cringe*

Second only to my personal favorite for holiday invites which call for dress to be "mountain formal". What the h*ll is that???!!!... a coctail dress and my sorrells???!!! ..and yes! that looks gimpy too...but at least you won't crack your skull open on the ice for foolishly wearing the 6" CFM's with 4 feet of snow on the ground. ...like I said, it just SCREAMS "you're not from around these parts are ya darlin?"

Lexi..................LOL.................you're killing me over here...............anyway, lets give Apolo the benefit of the doubt and say John made him wear the socks with sandals. I won't accept any other explanation. At least he's not wearing shorts and the socks aren't black. But, you gotta admit, it's the Urkel look. The editors at GQ are at a board meeting now doing damage control.

Can you even imagine wearing flip flops at your wedding?

Sympathies Apologies if these truly are anyone's family members. The fact that "Ralph' is holding a beer was enough for me to think I could convince people he was a Canadian!

I think he wears socks because they're comfortable for walking. Didn't he say a couple of times that what hurt the most were his feet when he was on them too long? I kinda do the same thing. Have an open toe, open heel shoe that looks real good, but hurts after awhile, so I wear a pair of socks under my hose. The pants pretty much hides them. Although gotta admit, socks with his type of sandals look strange. And he has such nice looking feet too - check out photos from his Hawaii trip.
Oh, and about that couple. Are they for real? OMG, the dog looks more attractive to me.

Sympathies Apologies if these truly are anyone's family members. The fact that "Ralph' is holding a beer was enough for me to think I could convince people he was a Canadian! Sad to say, "Ralph" is not just indicative to Canadians. I worked at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado one summer. (It was the inspiration for Steven Kings' "The Shining". In fact the TV remake was filmed there) The Hotel is a beautiful 1910 Vintage building with several "Ballrooms" and Dining areas. During the summer, there were always at least 3 weddings going on simultaneously on any given weekend. The largest Ballroom was the McGregor room, for which an elaborate (read:expensive) opulent wedding reception started about 6pm. (With folks who suspiciously looked like they had sold their trailers just to be there) By 10pm, the bride and groom were in the main entrance throwing drinks at one another and calling each other every foul name in the book, -the groom got into a knock down drag out with the best man which required the police to show up and drag the groom to jail (Some Wedding night, huh?) We the staff just stood there with our mouths hanging open at the whole spectacle (...and Lexi, I thought I recognized those people in your photo, - it had to be them!!!) Needless to say, I don't think the whole scene boded well for the marriage- and I'll bet 10 bucks they're still not married today...If they even made it past the first night...) By the way, Estes Park is right on the fringe of Rocky Mountain National Park, so there are always large herds of elk roaming around town. The most common question asked of the rangers there is - and I kid you not - "What altitude do deer turn into elk?". The first time I was asked this, I was so dumbfounded, the only thing I could think of to respond was: "Hey, 10,000 feet and a fifth of Jack Daniels ought to do it for you...".. Needless to say, my "tip" from that table was somewhat lacking....
