I think Sabrina is good enough to win because I watched her dance in both of the Cheetah Girl movies (my niece is a big fan). I really loved her little dance routines in the second movie, and I think she is the frontrunner for this new season. The big plus is that she is really popular with the kids because of the Cheetah Girls. she is gorgeous too...apolo seemed to know who she is already
number1fan, YOU ROCK! y thank you *says w/a curtsy*

It doesn't seem very fair if Sabrina has done some ballroom dance. Maybe she's never had official lessons, but still.... I thought the point was to get people who have never done ballroom before. Ticks me off. I didn't favor Joey last season partly because I felt he came in with too much dance experience. *Shrug*

One thing about the age factor coupled with decades of popularity is that even if Wayne doesn't start strong, the "mature" vote plus his fan base will keep him around long enough to get better. That may not be enough for a win, but possibly enough to keep him on board for a bit.
Of the new contestants, I like Jane S. Unless she totally has two left feet, I can see her having a very pretty presence on the dance floor.
I am completely unfamiliar with the models, race car drivers, cheetahs, millionaires and boxers. Sorry guys. Good luck to you anyway.
And... I still can't watch. I know, I know, but my heart tells me that only one couple should be the last to descend that staircase and that couple won't be there.
I'll keep an eye out though. If I ever come home and find the east coasters whooping and screaming that someone made an appearance, I sure will tune in. However, I can't be expected to listen to Bruno call anyone else cool, fresh, bewitching dream team devils on "this dance floor" That would just be cruel.

Being over 50, I think I am part of what you are calling the "mature vote", and honey, I wouldn't vote for Wayne Newton on a bet. I have never liked the man. I have always liked Jane S. though and hope she does well. The race car driver is a friend of Apolo's and will get support from his and Julianne's fans. And the millionaire is a billionaire and the reason we get to watch such wonderful streaming videos. It was his small company that developed the technology to make streaming video usable. He then sold that small company to Yahoo for lots of money. Might be nice to see a former nerd win. Also living in the Dallas area and being a Mavericks fan, I have a bit of loyalty already built in there. So who will I vote for? Guess, I just have to vote for the best dancer.

I can't imagine that Newton is more in shape than Jon Ratz. and tho I have nothing against them personally, I think they'll be kept in longer just because of fan votes. And the judges maybe being a little extra kind? Jane is lovely; she was a nice pick for an older woman. It will be hard to hear Bruno effuse over anyone else. Apolo and Julianne ruined it for me; I don't think I'll enjoy watching anyone else so much. I only tuned in occasionally until this season when I heard Apolo would be on. This fall, I'll only watch it for the pros (oddly enough) but probably not religiously again. If I bother to vote, I imagine it will be for Julianne and Derek. Well, at least Apolo on DWTS introduced me to message boards and got me excited about short track and the next winter Olympics! Okay, now I need to get back to real life. Sigh.

Sara, I meant nothing negative in regard to the mature vote. I consider myself to be mature and whenever possible I try to be supportive of those who came up when I did because I know first hand exactly how hard a climb that is. I know there are others who feel that way too, and while that may not be the most fair way to cast a vote, it's certainly one I can respect. Teens tend to support other teens and no one blames them a bit for it. It's just that way sometimes. Naturally a vote for the best dancer is the most fair and reasonable route. I hope it's a good strong competition. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you help the best dancer win.

I don't know any of the people. The only reason I'm watching is because of Julianne and Derek (and hopefully to get some surprise visits from Apolo).

Don't know what I said to make you thank I did. All I was saying was that even though I was "mature", I had no intention of supporting Wayne Newton. I didn't like him when I was young and I still don't. If I were to support someone because they are one of my peers, I t would be Jane S. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Who knows how long it took for her to learn and perfect the dance, but in the movie it looked great. She does more of jazz/hiphop with the Cheetah Girls on stage. I will watch DWTS, but if I miss a couple of episodes, it doesn't matter because AAO isn't on.

I'll definitely be sucked in again, I just know it! It will be hard to predict a winner early on this year with such a diverse group. I think Wayne Newton will be around for awhile. I mean - he's WAYNE NEWTON! Mr. Vegas. Mega popular. I think even Marie Osmond will garner a lot of votes. Based on media so far, she was the surprised addition....and people love it. Jane Seymour - very popular actress. Jennie Garth - everyone loves Jennie. I think she'll do really well. Same with Cameron - very popular soap star and easy on the eyes. Helio - I think he won Regis & Kelli's Most Eligible Celebrity Bachelor or something many years ago and he's a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner. The man's popular. He seems to be as sweet as Apolo and with Julianne as his partner, they might be the one to beat.

She had the Ick factor in Ian, have you seen Wayne's face?? Just reminds me of a Halloween mask, so plastic and unreal. If we thought she cringed before................sorry to all Wayne fans, I agree with poster, I just never liked him......

Jane Seymour...always one of my favorites.......especially with Sully........I was a shipper of them in the days of Dr. Quinn, and they did have a thing during the show.... she's a sentimental favorite of mine, but Julianne still has my votes..... ;D
