Since Apolo is not in this competition, does anyone know if he goes and supports the U.S. team??
Well, seeing as how he would just be sitting on that lovely ass instead of putting it to work...I'm going to guess not. I think that Apolo will either stay put in SLC or go off to someplace like Marquette to train (which is what he did one time when the team was away competing.)
After all, we don't want any flabbiness, now do we?
Ok all you junkies-who-like-me-can't-go-this-weekend!
Listen up!
Lori (GND) has been scheming, as she said, and she has hatched a plan which will involve her calling me throughout the meet with updates, and I'll be posting here.
WHen its Zamboni-time she'll give me a buzz and I will take her notes and turn them into the ONLY (Yes, USS, you heard it right), the ONLY mechanism for the fanbase to get any sort of semi-live results.
So we can expect race results, along with other highlights, and I'll play the hippy-dippy fanzone recorder.
I haven't been able to find any schedule yet, either on USS or the Am Cup1 website, so one of the first things is to try to figure out who's racing when and in what races.
So gather round the screen, 'cause we've got some action to read!
YEAH LORI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Lori and THANK YOU aaosmts19 for being willing to feed us desparate fans.

Post 44 my dear.... but here it is again. Realize these things change without notice, and usually do. We'll try to let everyone know what we've found out on friday. (I think a little trip to the rink is in order friday night after our planes arrive...)
Race Times (exact times available at event) Saturday, September 27 Warm up: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Race starts at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, September 28 Warm up and race info available Saturday.

Rest assured, even tho we are clueless until our gals get onsite, I'll have the phone strapped to me all weekend long, beginning Friday and until Lori tells me she's done for the weekend.
As soon as I get any feedback I will post it (my life is entirely too boring and finds me able to be at your beck and call).
So even if I get a quickie that says "we're here!...it's sunny outside!" on FRiday night, yours truly will post it quickly.
Not that I want to set any expectations that they are reporting their SOCIALIZING to us!

We had a nice first day. Wags and I got to watch the last bit of practice with the non-SLC, non-Marquette skaters. Lordy, but there were a lot of them, including all the SoCal skaters!
Had a great time at dinner. We just walked to the restaurant and rolled ourselves home afterward, then we stayed up for awhile chatting and getting ready for tomorrow.
There was info posted saying that warmups start at 11am and racing starts at 12:30pm.

I just spoke with Lori (GND) to make sure that we both had each other's phone numbers. She, mtmne and others were up and at'm...cruising Walmart.
They saw Simon, JR and others last night on land...
MTNME told me that the 2nd leg of her flight, in from SLC, had Jordan on the same plane with her. So even tho he is not competing he is there cheering the team on.
We laughed that she was going to try to take some video. So perhaps we will see some video equally as bad as her pics! AW---no slam intended MTNME! We luv ya and will take anything you can give us...

Men's 1500 Semi-Finals: Womens' 1500 Semi-finals and FINALS
Semi-finals, all top 3 advance to finals:
1st heat: Joey Linsey, Travis Jayner, Simon Cho, Eddie Alvarez, Kyle Carr, Robert Lawrence, Jeff Simon Simon, Jayner, cho (dq’d for cross tracking) so Alvarez advanced
2nd heat: Ryan Bedford, Ryan Leveille, Chris Krepling, Shani Davis, JR Celski, Anthony Lobello Celski, Lobello (who swooped in out of nowhere to take 2nd). The rest of the 4 came in all together and it took quite a qhile for the officials to make the announcement. In the end:
