We're a little early with The RockerFunds next Skater of the Month for May, but since we are launching two skaters at Ohnozone, (and I'm not sure how Noelle will be posting this information) We wanted to make sure the second skater's bio was up here at GA, just in case Noelle wanted to just link to it.

Update for Barry.
for those of you who would like to send a donation for Barry, but haven't yet, please make your check out to Barry instead of MSSA. You still need to mail it to the Midland address, however, the club is a little uncomfortable with the tax exemption status and how it works with their other fund raising efforts.
Your donation will not be tax deductible, but it is going directly to Barry instead of through the organization. In some ways, that is a good thing.
As with any new endeavor, there usually are some bugs to work out. One of them is since the checks have been going to the club and then the money dispersed to the skater, they never see your actual check- or more accurately- your address, so that they may send a Thank You to you. Obviously, this is something we need to work on a solution for.
So once again, please make your check out to Barry Winslow and mail it c/o the above Midland address.
So now it's time to get some feedback from all of you. Which would you prefer... to be able to deduct your donation from your taxes, or donating directly to the skater?

Barry's time as skater of the month will soon be coming to an end, and we will be introducing a new skater. We hope you will find it in your hearts to send a donation to Barry, no matter how small, it really does help out. (I believe Barry had to buy new skates this year, so those of you who have already donated couldn't have done so at a better time!)
The roster isn't out yet, but I think it's a pretty safe bet the skaters you have been supporting will be at Am Cup1 in September, (which is also the WC qualifier for SLC and Vancouver) so we will keep all of you posted as to what competitions the skaters will be in, and we hope that those of you who have not attended a Short Track competition before will consider joining your fellow fans at an event this year-or several! You'll have a great time.
